Kaduna DISCO gets 150mw only from Grid
The Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has stated that while it needed over 600 megawatts to meet the electricity demand of its teeming customers, it currently receives below 150 megawatts from the national grid.
Head, Corporate Affairs, AbdulAziz Abdullahi, made the announcement on Wednesday, 18th March, when the management of the company paid a courtesy call on the Media Trust, Kaduna office; adding that Kaduna’ Disco’s energy needs would be met if KEDCO received the amount of electricity it required.
Mr. Abdullahi further regretted that the company was expected to make over N3billion from its customers monthly but hardly gets N1.2billion which would hardly pay its own bills and staff salaries.
