The Asst. General Manager (Public Affairs), Transmission Company of Nigeria, Clement Ezeolisah has formally presented his new book, “Succeeding in Communication” to the public. The seven-chapter book discusses communication tools and strategies to adopt in order to deploy these communication tools most efficiently. It also teaches people how to write formal letters and reports as well as how to prepare for, taking and writing minutes of meetings.

While welcoming guests to the public presentation, the Managing Director of Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, Mr. Mack Kast commended the author and described him as diligent and development oriented.

Senator John Owan Enoh, the Chairman of Senate Committee on Finance, who was the Guest of Honour, also commended the author for finding time to write the book and noted that the book would help people improve their communication skills. The senator also called on leaders to do all that is possible to restore reading culture among the populace and encouraged everyone to adjust their life-styles in order to live better and keep in check the rampaging life-style diseases such as diabetes.

According to the author, Clement Ezeolisah, motivation for writing the book came from the desire to bridge the existing gaps in communication activities so that people would be more disposed to communicating more effectively and efficiently.

In reviewing the book, Mrs. Ndidi Mbah described the seven chapter book as the ‘little but great book which brings together in a simple but concise manner the art of effective communication’.

Mr Azubuike Ishiekwene, the former group managing director of Leadership Newspapers and publisher of The Interview magazine, wrote the Forward to the book.

‘Succeeding in Communication’ attempts to deepen the understanding and achievement of the communication process. It analyses the elements of the communication system, the various traditional and emerging digital modes and suggests ways for proper and effective utilization of these modes to achieve success in the communication process.
